About the Role
As a Senior IT Specialist/IT Administrator, you will be responsible for the operation, administration, and further development of the IT system landscape (Linux & Windows), focusing on IT security, stability, and high availability. You will monitor and ensure IT operations using modern tools, analyze and resolve issues in 2nd/3rd level support, and plan and execute changes, releases, and rollouts. Your role also involves contributing to the conception and implementation of IT operational processes based on ITIL and supporting projects with system architecture and infrastructure design.
Responsibilities
- Operation, administration, and further development of the IT system landscape (Linux & Windows) considering IT security, stability, and high availability.
- Monitoring and ensuring IT operations using modern monitoring tools, as well as analyzing and resolving issues in 2nd/3rd level support.
- Planning, coordination, and execution of changes, releases, and rollouts within IT operations (including testing, acceptance, documentation).
- Participation in the conception and implementation of IT operational processes based on ITIL (Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration Management).
- Support for projects and development areas regarding system architecture, operational requirements, and infrastructure design.
Requirements
- Completed IT training (e.g., IT specialist) or IT degree with relevant professional experience in IT operations.
- Sound experience in administering Linux and/or Windows systems.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation techniques (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python).
- Practical experience with modern IT monitoring tools.
- Experience with web and middleware technologies (e.g., JBoss) and common database systems.
- Experience in operating and configuring omnichannel contact center software.
- Solid knowledge of IT security fundamentals.
- German language skills at least C1 level.
- English language skills at least B1 level.
