About the Role
The Special Events Porter will energetically set up and take down events, ensuring the event space is appealing throughout the celebration.
Responsibilities
- Set up and take down banquet tables, buffet tables, registration tables, chairs, portable bars, staging, podiums, and audio-visual equipment according to banquet prospectus.
- Ensure all meeting rooms are set with proper amenities, including mints, meeting notes, and pens.
- Place and test all necessary serving equipment.
- Return all banquet equipment to appropriate storage areas.
- Monitor stock levels and obtain supplies and equipment for concession stands and portable bars.
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple functions.
- Fine manipulation of hands required for simple grasping of 5 pounds and pushing and pulling of up to 100 pounds.
Salary/Compensations
- $16.00/hour plus gratuities
