Responsibilities

  • Lead project teams, establish execution approach, and oversee project hand-over, execution planning, and monitoring and control activities.
  • Coach and provide performance feedback for project staff.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of policies and work instructions.
  • Lead project reviews and conduct competency assessments for project execution teams.
  • Actively seek improvement opportunities and influence the organization to continuously improve project execution.
  • Participate in and contribute to internal and external expert groups.
  • Lead project recovery efforts, including rapid assessment and turnaround of troubled projects.
  • Participate in the budgeting process with Management.
  • Participate in Sales and Operations Planning with Management and Sales/Business Development.
  • Take actions to close potential gaps in project execution capacity.
  • Ensure projects follow execution best practices and EPE policies.
  • Effectively monitor and control project progress and resource utilization.
  • Monitor and control project financials, including invoicing, costs, expenses, and cash flow.
  • Identify, qualify, quantify, and manage project risks, and pursue opportunities.
  • Capture, analyze, and share lessons learned throughout the project.
  • Ensure projects are formally closed out as contractually agreed.
  • Drive formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and customer acknowledgement.
  • Ensure all planning activities are performed properly by assigned project teams.
  • Ensure consistent application of contract and claims management.
  • Ensure required procurement activities are performed by assigned resources.
  • Act as key contact for the customer and escalation point for project issues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Ensure the project complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Develop project execution staff through mentoring and coaching.

Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years of related experience in managing Turnkey EPC power delivery projects.
  • Experience in leading EPC projects: Utility Transmission, Interconnection substation projects.
  • Proven ability to develop business and establish relationships with clients.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and lead proposal / pursuit efforts.
  • Ability to handle large volumes of work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Previous consulting experience preferred but not required.
