About the Role
The Security Professional Flex Officer serves and safeguards clients across various industries including Healthcare, Education, and Finance. This role utilizes an exclusive shift-pickup platform, allowing officers to claim open shifts based on their availability to build a flexible schedule while gaining diverse site experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
- Monitor for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
- Sound alarms or contact police or fire departments during emergencies
- Warn violators of rule infractions such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
- Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits
- Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property
- Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
- Maintain written logs as required by the post
- Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
Requirements
- Active CA Guard Card
- Security experience of 1 or more years
- Intermediate to advanced technology skills
- Level 1 Certificate (Power to Arrest and Appropriate Use of Force Certificate)
- High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
- Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to pass a background investigation
- Ability to pass a drug screen
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
