About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Creative Director with a copywriting background to lead B2B marketing initiatives, shaping brand stories and campaign tactics to enhance client reputations, drive leads, and boost sales. This role blends creative leadership with business impact, focusing on insight-led work and developing a senior team to achieve measurable business results.

Responsibilities

  • Translate strategies into strong concepts and campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Lead client presentations and participate actively in client status meetings and planning.
  • Generate proactive "what-if" ideas for clients based on client and market insights.
  • Build campaigns that resonate with audiences and drive business outcomes.
  • Serve as a member of the Creative and Design department leadership team.
  • Orchestrate workshares to showcase team and departmental work.
  • Participate in new business development for relevant brands.
  • Collaborate with the ECD to set creative standards and frameworks for B2B work.
  • Serve as a leading voice across client teams.
  • Immerse yourself in clients’ businesses, audiences, and industries at both creative and business levels.
  • Direct creative teams to deliver outstanding work within project timelines and budgets.
  • Lead client campaign presentations and manage work through production and optimization, proactively addressing risks.
  • Collaborate with strategy, media, CRM, and analytics leads to optimize campaign work using data.
  • Lead and mentor creative teams, shaping their work and careers through objective setting, progress checks, and 1:1s.
  • Actively engage with multidisciplinary teams to introduce and leverage AI for work optimization.
  • Partner with the ECD to manage revenue, margin, and utilization across the account portfolio.
  • Stay close to the work, shaping platforms for teams and stepping in to write when needed.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of client products, services, benefits, features, voice, and style to shape campaigns and copy.
  • Lead client discussions regarding brand element evolution for market relevance.
  • Drive portfolio growth by identifying and pursuing expansion opportunities within existing client relationships.
  • Play a leading role in pitches, RFPs, and new business conversations.
  • Make the business case for creative work, connecting it to commercial outcomes and client growth metrics.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in an agency, studio, or brand environment, with a majority in a creative director role on B2B, B2B2C, and consumer brands.
  • A portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, versatility, and results for B2B brands.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results and build relationships with key clients as a creative and company leader.
  • Demonstrated financial accountability, scoping engagements to revenue and margin targets.
  • Strong copywriting background, including directed campaigns and campaigns created as a copywriter or ACD.
  • Experience developing client thought leadership content and support materials.
  • Deep understanding of B2B media channels, including trade media, performance marketing, social, CRM, search/AI search, and emerging channels.
  • Fluency in all channels and understanding of the rising role of content across video, social, search, and AI search.
  • Ability to find the clear signal in complicated categories for clients and teams.
  • Proven experience in developing original brand voices and enhancing brands to retain relevance.
  • Strategic thinking, clear direction, and precise editing skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and motivate creative, strategy, account, and client teams.
  • Curiosity about human behavior and emerging technologies.
  • Enterprise-minded approach to decision-making for long-term practice and company health.
  • Ability to build durable internal networks and partnerships, influencing outcomes beyond formal purview.
