About the Role

Universal Ads is seeking a senior seller to expand its Search & Services efforts, targeting search & SMB performance agencies, home and professional services, multi-location service brands, and lead generation agencies. This is an early-stage, high-impact role focused on scaling a customer segment, refining market positioning, strengthening client relationships, and driving repeatable revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of how SMBs, multi-location service brands, and lead generation businesses assess media performance throughout their customer lifecycle and how TV can generate new demand.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership to grow the Search & Services segment, identifying high-potential accounts and developing a go-to-market strategy for the specified buyer types.
  • Engage priority client targets, build a qualified pipeline, and convert early market momentum into sustained revenue growth.
  • Contribute to evolving Universal Ads' sales approach for each segment, including positioning, pitch narratives, measurement strategies, industry presence, and account prioritization.
  • Articulate the downstream effects of CTV into a compelling performance narrative for advertisers accustomed to search, social, and other lower-funnel channels.
  • Work with CSM, product, measurement, partnerships, marketing, and leadership to ensure the product roadmap meets the needs of performance-focused marketers.
  • Communicate effectively with sophisticated performance marketers and rapidly determine what Universal Ads must prove to secure budget.
  • Educate clients on how CTV and premium video can complement existing performance channels such as paid social, search, affiliate, programmatic, and other customer acquisition channels.
  • Represent Universal Ads credibly and confidently at customer meetings and industry events, showcasing a deep understanding of the SMB and performance advertising ecosystem.
  • Apply an entrepreneurial mindset and embrace the opportunity to shape a business rather than follow an existing playbook.
  • Consistently exercise independent judgment and discretion in significant matters.
  • Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance, including working nights and weekends as necessary.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of direct sales experience in SMB performance/growth marketing, search, or related advertising sales.
  • TV/CTV + performance marketing sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of measurement frameworks, including pixel-based attribution, platform reporting, incrementality testing, geo tests, conversion lift studies, and measurement triangulation.
  • Ability to translate premium video and CTV into a credible performance narrative for advertisers historically anchored in search, social, affiliate, and lower-funnel channels.
  • Strong understanding of performance media buying behavior, attribution challenges, creative testing, optimization, and how businesses and agencies allocate and scale budget.
  • Experience working in a high-growth, early-stage, or build-oriented environment is preferred.
  • Ability to develop engaging narratives and storytelling in an industry focused on numbers, measurement, and performance outcomes.
  • Understand and apply Operating Principles.
  • Own the customer experience, prioritizing seamless digital options and customer advocacy.
  • Be an enthusiastic learner, user, and advocate of the company's technology, products, and services.
  • Collaborate effectively and be open to new ideas to achieve team goals.
  • Participate actively in the Net Promoter System by joining huddles, making call backs, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive results and growth.
  • Support a culture of inclusion in work and leadership.
  • Act with integrity towards colleagues, customers, investors, and communities.
