Responsibilities
- Manage assigned client accounts by understanding client needs and goals, and their professional advisors.
- Exhibit knowledge of governing documents, account agreements, fiduciary duties, applicable laws, trust and tax law, estate planning, financial planning, asset management, and investment principles.
- Guide client conversations for goals-driven wealth management and holistic advice.
- Provide proactive advice on NT’s products/services, emerging issues, regulatory/tax changes, and appropriate client actions.
- Combine technical knowledge with fact-finding and analysis to develop advice-driven solutions.
- Explain complex concepts to clients using non-technical terminology.
- Maintain working knowledge of NT resources and utilize fiduciary knowledge to identify opportunities for relationship enhancement.
- Provide focused client service with responsiveness, diplomacy, and tact.
- Initiate proactive client contact through written and verbal communication with suitable frequency.
- Exhibit excellent time management skills.
- Build and maintain knowledge of NT fiduciary standards and practices, applying fiduciary knowledge and judgment.
- Understand and comply with internal policies, processes, and procedures for risk management and judgment.
- Recognize fiduciary risk issues and seek appropriate resolution.
- Cultivate relationships with referral sources and centers of influence to build business.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Participate in community and professional organizations representing NT.
- Teach and mentor less experienced partners.
- Advise Relationship Advisors on fiduciary issues and serve as a fiduciary resource.
- Travel to meet with clients where appropriate.
- Seek continued development of fiduciary and advisory skills through training and experience.
- Exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Be eligible to serve as LRM in PCA and PCS.
Requirements
- Knowledge of fiduciary and financial products and services acquired through related work experience is required to manage client accounts.
- Technical knowledge of investments, tax, legal, and operations acquired through formal education or related experience is required to service clients.
- Knowledge of fiduciary standards, principles, and applicable laws and regulations acquired through training, seminars, or law school is required to administer accounts.
- Skills in negotiating, problem solving, delegating, leadership, and sales are necessary to service the client relationship.
- Ability to explain difficult or sensitive information.
- Ability to work to build consensus.
