About the Role
Crisis Action is seeking an exceptional Advocacy and Campaigns Manager to forge creative coalitions that de-escalate conflict and protect civilians in Sudan. This role is crucial for influencing global decision-making by developing and sustaining key relationships and partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement campaigns and advocacy on the Sudan conflict, developing and driving collective campaigns and impactful advocacy.
- Provide political analysis and engagement on key African governments' positions towards the Sudan conflict and advise international teams and partners.
- Expand the organization's regional relationships with policymakers, media, influencers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Convene and facilitate global conversations for the network to share knowledge and coordinate collective capacity to influence international decision-makers.
- Produce high-quality external communications for diverse audiences.
- Promote and uphold Crisis Action’s culture of low ego, servant leadership, and collaborative working.
Requirements
- Exceptional understanding of campaigns and advocacy strategy development and implementation.
- A political operator capable of building and sustaining relationships with senior officials and political figures.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to think and work strategically.
- Knowledge of the Sudan conflict within the Horn of Africa region and its relation to Gulf dynamics.
- Experience convening and building coalitions, and motivating colleagues and partners across diverse teams and geographies.
- Strong facilitation skills for multidisciplinary project groups.
- Outstanding interpersonal, communications, and relationship building skills.
- Proven track record as an adept network builder.
- Multi-tasker with a proven track record of effective project management, coordination, and delivery.
- Ability to prioritize, manage, and deliver across competing priorities.
- Understanding of global and regional civil society and related power dynamics.
- Knowledge of the international human rights, humanitarian, and/or peacebuilding NGO sector(s).
- Fluency in written and spoken English with excellent written communication skills.
- Proficient in using digital communication and collaboration technologies.
- 5-7 years of professional experience in relevant fields.
- High levels of drive, determination, and entrepreneurialism with a positive can-do attitude.
- Servant leadership with a low-ego approach.
- Commitment to being bold and creative, to experiment and learn.
- High levels of resilience and ability to work under uncertainty.
- Ability to work remotely and independently as part of a diverse global team.

- Baseline of USD50,000 per annum
Benefits

- 2% salary increase in year 2, 4 and 8 subject to availability of funds
