About the Role

Assist Ambulance is seeking certified Paramedics, both new and experienced, to join their team full-time and part-time at their Brooklyn base. As a New York City EMS agency with a 30-year history, Assist Ambulance provides a full range of emergency medical and transportation services throughout the five boroughs, including Advanced and Basic Life Support for various healthcare facilities and organizations.

Responsibilities

• Provide Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support via emergency and non-emergency ambulance transports.
• Commit to at least two 12-hour shifts per week on the same days each week.
• Act responsibly under extreme duress.
• Lift 125 lbs. in accordance with NYS DOH standards and pass a lifting assessment.
• Obtain 19A physical clearance and a negative PPD test.
• Pass a 10-panel drug screening.

Requirements

• Active NY State EMT-P card required; NYC REMAC needed, NREMT card alone is not accepted.
• Paramedics without experience are welcome if fully certified at the time of application.
• Must be at least 20 years old with 1 year of driving experience in New York City.
• Must possess a valid, clean NYS D Class driver’s license; DJ licenses are not accepted.
• Must be physically fit to lift 125 lbs. and pass a lifting assessment.
• Must be able to get 19A physical clearance and negative PPD test.
• Must be able to pass a 10-panel drug screening.
