About the Role
The Finance Operations Coordinator is responsible for the execution of Buffalo Solar's financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, employee benefits, project billing, and accounting support. This role helps ensure accurate financial records, healthy cash flow, and efficient business operations, with the potential to grow into a leadership position.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer billing, and collections.
- Coordinate payroll, employee benefits, and HR-related financial administration.
- Prepare project billings, draw requests, and support job cost and WIP reporting.
- Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Online and assist with month-end close.
- Support budgeting, reporting, lender requests, audits, and tax preparation.
- Maintain vendor compliance, insurance certificates, W-9s, and financial documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and internal controls.
Requirements
- 3+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance operations experience.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Online (preferred).
- Construction, project-based accounting, or renewable energy experience is a plus.
