Responsibilities

  • Explain game combinations, payouts, and jackpots.
  • Reset slot errors.
  • Respond to customer needs in the assigned area.
  • Forward customer complaints to management.
  • Safeguard company assets and gaming keys.
  • Replace gaming machine cash out tickets.
  • Assist customers with gaming machines, provide directions, information about upcoming events, and slot operation services.
  • Promote excellent customer service by answering patron questions, understanding marketing and property information, and providing general assistance.
  • Maintain open communication with superiors.
  • Assist customers with player card sign-ups.
  • Demonstrate and provide outstanding customer and employee relations.
  • Present a neat and clean appearance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must possess a high school or equivalent diploma.
  • Ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to New York State Lottery regulations.
  • Ability to perform each job responsibility satisfactorily.
  • Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, sit, climb or balance, and stoop, stretch, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Moderate physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least twenty-five (25) pounds.
  • Varied instances of standing/walking.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests.
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimal.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and inference.
  • Ability to create, read and analyze spreadsheets of statistical data.
  • Ability to decipher various reports and maintain reports upon request.
  • Must be able to interact with internal and external guests in a professional manner.
  • Must be able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
