About the Role

The Dream Opportunity is a global nonprofit dedicated to teaching low-income and minority students professional skills and how to acquire internships. We partner with large companies where students gain exposure to various careers, participate in professional development, and access internships and entry-level positions.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the event speaker/host for events featuring major brands and companies.
  • Host panels where industry leaders share brand insights.
  • Attend rehearsals for training on hosting workshops and panels.
  • Collaborate with team members to provide feedback on workshops and panels.
  • Attend meetings to assist the creative team in developing new, effective workshops and panels.
  • Participate in a collaborative, team-based creative process, accepting edits and feedback.
  • Bring energy, humor, excitement, and a collaborative spirit to a fast-paced, deadline-driven, highly creative team environment.

Requirements

  • Must be located in the USA, UK, Brazil, India, Mexico, Singapore, or Philippines.
  • Possess strong verbal communication skills for clear and confident interaction with employees from major brands and students from diverse communities.
  • Own a computer with Zoom, be proficient in its use, and have access to a stable internet connection.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exhibit a passionate and creative commitment to issues of race and identity.
  • Be open to exploring different ideas and opinions, engaging with guests and audiences from diverse backgrounds.
