About the Role
Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is seeking motivated Occupational Therapists to deliver high-quality therapy services in patients’ homes and community environments, focusing on helping patients maintain mobility, independence, and overall quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Accept and treat patients within your designated geographic area
- Provide 1:1 treatment
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient needs
- Deliver care that aligns with professional standards, agency policies, and the prescribed plan of care
- Educate family members, home health aides, and other caregivers on proper therapy techniques
- Plan, and carry out occupational therapy programs to maintain, improve or restore physical function, relieve pain, and prevent occupational dysfunction in patients
- Perform and document an initial exam, evaluating the data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention
- Provide timely and accurate documentation for each visit
- Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit
- Willing to treat geriatric patients
Requirements
- Occupational Therapist Program Graduate
- Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of New York or eligible
- Mandatory Certifications: First Aid, AED, & CPR Certifications
- Ability to travel to patients’ homes within the assigned geographic territory
- Strong communication skills between patients, support staff, and management, including timely responses via text, email, phone, etc.
