About the Role
WM is seeking a Senior Diesel/CNG Mechanic to join their team, offering a safer work environment, financial security, and career advancement opportunities. The role involves maintaining the trucks and equipment that service over 20 million customers across the USA, utilizing modern tools and procedures for exceptional maintenance on diesel and CNG vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
- Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.
- Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
- Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
- Conduct safety checks on vehicles.
- Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
- Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Requirements
- 4 years of relevant work experience
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Be over 18 years of age.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
- Must have, or be willing to obtain, a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if required for business travel or access to federal property.
