About the Role

WM is seeking a CNG / Diesel Mechanic to join their team, offering career progression, stability, and a safe work environment. This role involves maintaining and repairing trucks and equipment that service millions of customers across the USA, utilizing modern tools and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
  • Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.
  • Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
  • Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
  • Conduct safety checks on vehicles.
  • Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
  • Assist senior Mechanics in the completion of project work.
  • Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

Requirements

  • 2 years of relevant work experience
  • A valid driver's license, with a clean driving record
  • Be over 18 years of age
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
  • Must have, or be willing to obtain, a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if required for business travel or access to federal property.
