About the Role
The Plant Supervisor II will supervise the safe and efficient handling and processing of regulated medical waste. This position ensures the plant consistently meets regulatory and safety compliance measures and operates in a productive and profitable manner.
Responsibilities
- Selects, trains, and develops a safe, effective and efficient staff
- Ensures the plant meets regulatory and safety compliance measures and operates in a productive and profitable manner
- Maintain overall cost control of the plant
- Ensures continuous improvement of productivity standards and worker safety performance in all phases of the operation
- Interface proactively with personnel to achieve business goals
- Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, either internally or externally
- Initiate actions to assure timely resolution of identified hazards or unsafe conditions or practices
- Training off all new plant and monthly training of current plant personnel
- Perform periodic facility audits, review of all applicable regulatory paperwork, e.g., biological testing, WW testing, etc.
- Provides for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting when necessary
- Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (accredited)
- 3 years of related experience
- 1 year experience managing staff, preferably in a plant or manufacturing environment
- Must have, or be willing to obtain, a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative
