About the Role

Borealis is RBC’s AI and innovation hub, driving enterprise-wide artificial intelligence and emerging technology initiatives. The Borealis Strategy & Transformation team acts as strategic thought-partners to senior executives, tackling complex AI transformation challenges. This role offers unique exposure to diverse areas of the bank, fostering skill development, career growth, and the opportunity to lead ambitious projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Define and develop target state Borealis priorities, structure, and operating model to support enterprise AI ambitions
  • Develop robust recommendations on AI capability priorities and resource allocation
  • Conduct comprehensive strategic reviews and analyses to support the Head/SVP of Borealis and cross-functional leadership
  • Support product strategy and roadmap development for flagship AI tools including RBC Assist Pro, Lumina, and other Borealis platforms
  • Ensure product strategies are well-developed, articulated, and aligned across business units and with enterprise perspectives
  • Drive product adoption and value realization across the organization
  • Support lines of business in scoping, prioritizing, and implementing AI initiatives aligned with enterprise strategy and best practices
  • Develop business cases & implementation roadmaps for AI solutions
  • Identify and articulate benefits including revenue opportunities, cost savings, & efficiencies
  • Provide strategic support to the Head/SVP of Borealis on key decisions, initiatives, and stakeholder engagement
  • Manage work streams and present engagement deliverables to senior leaders, raising risks and providing mitigation strategies
  • Gain the position of trusted advisor and help facilitate trade-off / prioritization decisions with senior leaders, functions, cross-functional project teams and colleagues by providing rigorous strategic insight based on thorough research and analysis

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Strategy / Transformation, Consulting, Product Strategy / Management experience ideally within Financial Services, FinTech or Technology focused organizations
  • Demonstrated background in AI strategy, digital transformation, or emerging technology adoption in a business context
  • Experience developing strategy and roadmaps for technology products or platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to design, scope, and manage complex strategic initiatives in ambiguous environments
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills with the ability to distill complex concepts for senior audiences
  • Proficiency in frameworks, analytical approaches, and business modeling
  • Ability to build trust and strong relationships at all levels of the organization, from frontline teams to senior executives
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments; skilled at scoping work efforts to bring clarity and flexibility to deliver high-impact results
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills and presence
  • Strong technical ability with PowerPoint, Excel and Word and business modelling experience
  • Minimum two years of deep and broad management consulting experience with an emphasis on business strategy, transformation and enablement
