About the Role
As the first Customer Success Manager, you will own the activation motion for enterprise accounts, driving customers from contract signature to go-live and scale. You will work within a dedicated pod to build the foundational playbook for post-sales, focusing on time-to-value and long-term customer success.
Responsibilities
- Own the time-to-value metric from contract signature to production certification.
- Drive accounts from go-live to activation at scale.
- Establish a proactive communication cadence with bi-weekly working sessions and status updates.
- Draft and maintain structured, measurable success plans for all accounts.
- Manage an adoption and risk register with clear mitigations and timelines.
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) that validate and advance expansion theses.
- Co-author the founding CSM playbook, including success-plan templates and QBR frameworks.
- Provide feedback to R&D to improve activation processes.
- Align stakeholders across product, data, security, and finance departments.
Requirements
- Experience owning enterprise customer success at a technical product company such as data infrastructure or developer platforms.
- Proven track record of managing multi-stakeholder alignment within Fortune 500 accounts.
- Strong understanding of data pipelines and their business impact on technical teams.
- Ability to communicate clearly and directly with executive-level stakeholders.
- High-urgency operator capable of driving complex projects to completion.
- Must be based in Toronto or the Greater Toronto Area.
- Ability to travel up to 15-25% of the time, primarily to the US.
