About the Role

Responsible for the facilities maintenance of Universal Kids Resort buildings and designated areas, completing work orders, installations, and routine/preventative maintenance across various trades including masonry, tile, carpentry, and painting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs for rough carpentry, including framing, sheet goods, wood decking, dock work, wood metal stud work, and trim work.
  • Conduct routine inspection and maintenance of seating, furniture, restroom stall doors, and partitions.
  • Complete repairs and finishing to walkways and roadways throughout the resort.
  • Manage the preparation and painting of designated areas, including color selection, mixing, surface prep, and application using various techniques.
  • Maintain scenic aesthetic through painting techniques to match original creative intent.
  • Perform installation and repairs to exterior finishes such as Dry-Vit, EIFIS, and Stucco.
  • Fabricate tooling (molds) when multiple parts are needed.
  • Maintain roof surfaces, perform roof, gutter/downspout, window leak, and other water infiltration repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Complete specific work orders for masonry, tile, pavers, and woodwork.
  • Install and repair interior wall and floor tiles, coverings, and commercial hardware, including door closures, panic hardware, and locks.
  • Assist with creating, installing, and removing specialized signage, potentially using a High Reach.
  • Enter follow-up work orders for discrepancies and document all findings and work performed.
  • Report labor in Maximo for all work performed.
  • Acquire skills in additional disciplines to support a broader range of operational and project needs.
  • Complete preventative maintenance and show quality checks across the theme park.
  • Train new Technicians on work orders, recovery procedures, and processes.
  • Assist with seasonal weather condition sustainment initiatives.
  • Participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
