About the Role

We are looking for someone who can take a mobile app and make it look better, clearer, more consistent, and platform-appropriate. This role focuses on UI execution, ensuring interfaces are built rather than just conceptualized. You will be responsible for the UI execution of our mobile app, bringing visual quality to the screen in a platform-appropriate and developer-friendly manner.

Responsibilities

• UI design for iOS and Android, focusing on platform-specific design (Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design 3)
• High-level Figma work including Auto Layout, variables, design tokens, interactive components, and Dev Mode/Handoff
• Building scalable components for a Component Library & Design System with clear documentation
• Ensuring visual quality through attention to visual hierarchy, typography, spacing, and color systems
• Delivering pixel-perfect designs with specifications and annotations
• Basic UI motion design for transitions and micro-interactions
• Close collaboration with Product & Engineering in an async-first manner with documented decisions

Requirements

• Portfolio with at least 2 launched native apps (iOS or Android) detailing your specific UI role
• Mastery of Figma, including Auto Layout, variables/design tokens, component libraries, prototyping, and Dev Mode
• Understanding of mobile platforms, specifically iOS HIG and Android Material Design 3, including native patterns
• Strong visual design skills in hierarchy, typography, spacing/grid, color systems, and contrast
• Proficiency in clean developer handoff
• Ability to work independently in a remote, async-first setup with structured communication
• Experience with Design System governance (versioning, contribution guidelines) is a plus
• Knowledge of Accessibility on Mobile (WCAG, iOS/Android standards) is a plus
• Experience with ProtoPie or Principle for advanced prototyping is a plus
• Background in HealthTech, D2C, or FinTech is a plus
• German language skills are not required, English is the working language
