About the Role

Design the command and control PCBAs and power distribution systems for MESH, the electrical backbone of the product, ensuring safe and reliable energy management for autonomous systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design command and control PCBAs, including generator start/stop, contactor/relay control, interlocks, and I/O.
  • Design power distribution from genset and battery to loads, covering busbars, contactors, breakers, fusing, and protection.
  • Design current and voltage sensing and metering for firmware.
  • Own schematic capture, drive PCB layout, DFM, bring-up, and testing.
  • Partner with power electronics, battery, and firmware teams on interfaces, protection, and safety.
  • Take analog and digital board designs from schematic through bring-up on shipping hardware.
  • Build power distribution and protection systems capable of handling real-world current and voltage.
  • Focus on sensing and instrumentation, including current shunts, hall sensors, isolated measurement, and ADC front ends.
  • Work with modern EDA tools and directly with fab and assembly houses.

Requirements

  • Experience with high-voltage DC, battery systems, or genset controls.
  • Background in functional safety, protection coordination, or EMC design.
  • Exposure to maritime or defense hardware.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
