About the Role
The Team Leader supports store leadership by delivering exceptional customer service, coaching team members, and managing assigned sales floor areas. This role involves being a top seller with ownership of specific merchandising displays and supporting omnichannel operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Work scheduled shifts, with flexible hours including nights, weekends, and overtime.
- Uphold and promote a safe and productive work environment.
- Deliver Legendary Service and reinforce Leading with Legendary behaviors.
- Use A+ Coaching routines to develop Team Members.
- Model selling behaviors as a top-selling Team Member.
- Train, coach, and follow up with Team Members during shifts.
- Own Power Panel execution, maintenance, replenishment, signing, and recovery.
- Own Clipstrip execution, maintenance, replenishment, signing, and recovery.
- Own Endcap execution, maintenance, signing, and recovery.
- Own full weekly Clothing Department recovery.
- Support BOPIS/OMNI execution, including picking, staging, and customer handoff.
- Lead assigned Team Members during shifts, including task delegation and service expectations.
- Support front-end, sales-floor, recovery, and customer engagement routines.
- Operate cash register/computer, forklift, and other equipment.
- Assist customers with loading purchases.
- Complete all documentation accurately and timely.
- Obtain necessary licenses or certifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Ability to read, write, and count accurately.
- Ability to perform and execute principle responsibilities of Team Members.
- Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
- Ability to move and transfer merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with material handling equipment.
- Ability to occasionally lift or reach merchandise overhead.
- Ability to frequently stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders.
- Ability to move throughout the store for an entire shift.
- Ability to safely access all areas of the store.
- Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run a store.
- Ability to constantly operate store equipment such as computer and cash register.
- Ability to utilize strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to process information/merchandise through the point-of-sale system.
- Ability to handle and be in contact with birds/poultry.
- Ability to successfully complete training and certification to dispense propane (if applicable).
- Ability to successfully complete all required training.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Ability to drive or operate a vehicle for business needs.
- This position is non-sedentary.
