About the Role
Autodesk is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to the development of the next generation of cloud services, data platforms, and AI-powered capabilities. This role involves designing, developing, and evolving scalable services and platform capabilities that support Autodesk's SaaS ecosystem, working with modern software engineering practices and large-scale distributed systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions.
- Contribute to the development of cloud services, APIs, and platform capabilities.
- Participate in the design and implementation of new features and enhancements.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Develop automated tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and apply software engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and production issues.
- Contribute to the development of scalable SaaS and cloud-based solutions.
- Help build and maintain APIs and backend services.
- Participate in improving platform reliability, performance, and operational excellence.
- Support the evolution of data platforms and intelligent platform capabilities.
- Learn and apply cloud-native development principles and modern engineering practices.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, Architects, and fellow engineers to deliver customer value.
- Participate in Agile planning, estimation, and delivery activities.
- Work closely with team members to solve technical challenges and share knowledge.
- Continuously learn new technologies, tools, and engineering practices.
- Contribute ideas that improve products, processes, and developer experiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2–5 years of software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in modern software development technologies, including C++ and Python.
- Proficiency in Object-oriented design and software architecture principles.
- Desired proficiency with TypeScript, .NET/C#, Java and Spring Boot.
- Understanding of software development fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
- Basic understanding of APIs and web services.
- Interest in cloud computing and SaaS technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Java and Spring Boot through academic, personal, internship, or professional projects.
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of REST APIs and distributed systems concepts.
- Experience with Git and source control systems.
- Familiarity with automated testing practices.
- Interest in data platforms, artificial intelligence, or cloud-native technologies.
- Participation in open-source, academic, or personal software projects.
