About the Role

Autodesk is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to the development of the next generation of cloud services, data platforms, and AI-powered capabilities. This role involves designing, developing, and evolving scalable services and platform capabilities that support Autodesk's SaaS ecosystem, working with modern software engineering practices and large-scale distributed systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of cloud services, APIs, and platform capabilities.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of new features and enhancements.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Develop automated tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews and apply software engineering best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and production issues.
  • Contribute to the development of scalable SaaS and cloud-based solutions.
  • Help build and maintain APIs and backend services.
  • Participate in improving platform reliability, performance, and operational excellence.
  • Support the evolution of data platforms and intelligent platform capabilities.
  • Learn and apply cloud-native development principles and modern engineering practices.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, Architects, and fellow engineers to deliver customer value.
  • Participate in Agile planning, estimation, and delivery activities.
  • Work closely with team members to solve technical challenges and share knowledge.
  • Continuously learn new technologies, tools, and engineering practices.
  • Contribute ideas that improve products, processes, and developer experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2–5 years of software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in modern software development technologies, including C++ and Python.
  • Proficiency in Object-oriented design and software architecture principles.
  • Desired proficiency with TypeScript, .NET/C#, Java and Spring Boot.
  • Understanding of software development fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Basic understanding of APIs and web services.
  • Interest in cloud computing and SaaS technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Java and Spring Boot through academic, personal, internship, or professional projects.
  • Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs and distributed systems concepts.
  • Experience with Git and source control systems.
  • Familiarity with automated testing practices.
  • Interest in data platforms, artificial intelligence, or cloud-native technologies.
  • Participation in open-source, academic, or personal software projects.
