About the Role

Join Global Payments' Heartland School Solutions Technology Team to shape the future of global commerce. You will power secure, reliable payment experiences for K-12 schools and communities, influencing how schools manage payments and connect systems. Collaborate with talented engineers, product teams, and business partners to build innovative integrations and elevate software quality.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance scalable web applications and APIs that deliver secure, reliable payment and school management experiences.
• Drive the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions from concept through deployment.
• Strengthen platform performance, stability, and maintainability through clean, secure, and well-documented code.
• Influence product and engineering outcomes by collaborating across teams and providing code reviews.
• Resolve complex technical challenges and integration issues to improve user experiences.

Requirements

• Experience developing and supporting software applications with a strong foundation in object-oriented programming, application design, and problem solving.
• Working knowledge of Java, Representational State Transfer (REST) APIs, and Structured Query Language (SQL) databases.
• Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality, maintainable code and consistently deliver results in a collaborative development environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A growth mindset and sense of ownership.
