About the Role
The Merchandising Specialist will maintain a stocked, fronted, and clean sales floor and showroom. This role involves completing sales preparations, greeting customers, and ensuring the retail showroom presents a professional and inviting appearance.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers on the sales floor and assist them in locating merchandise or direct them to a parts specialist if hard parts are needed.
- Check in, price, and put up stock.
- Keep merchandise on the display floor fronted and full, and assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities daily.
- Change displays according to company guidelines, update planograms, complete price label changes, and ensure sale signs are in place.
- Remove all sale material when a sale ends and restore original pricing.
- Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
- Work with the manager to complete store weekly inventory and merchandising tasks.
- Occasionally serve as a cashier or drive a delivery vehicle when business needs dictate.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to clearly read, write, and match numbers and letters from various sources
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to work well with others in a team environment
- Previous stocking experience
- Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
- Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
