About the Role

This role involves providing expert legal advice on complex debt finance transactions, representing clients, building client relationships, and contributing to talent development and knowledge management.

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages complex transactions, ensuring effective legal strategy and execution.
• Leads the drafting and negotiation of critical transaction documents.
• Works closely with clients to understand their needs and delivers strategic legal solutions.
• Represents clients in negotiations, assisting in structuring transactions to optimize legal, tax, and business outcomes.
• Leads comprehensive due diligence processes, identifying potential risks and ensuring thorough review.
• May advise clients on post-transaction integration issues and ensure ongoing compliance.
• May assist more senior colleagues in developing transaction strategies and preparing for negotiations.
• Stays updated on legal developments in the area of specialization.
• Helps coach and develop more junior lawyers within a specialized practice area.
• May set the technical and professional direction of a specialism or area of expertise within the practice.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge and significant experience in a specialized area of law, typically with at least 8 years of practice post qualification.
• Ability to support partners in managing client relationships and progressing highly technical matters.
• Experience leading complex legal matters.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
