About the Role
The Specialist, e-Learning will promote a culture of continuous learning for all members of the Firm through e-Learning. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining engaging digital learning solutions that support organizational learning objectives.
Responsibilities
- Build learner-centred, engaging e-Learning programs, microlearning assets, job aids, and videos using Articulate Storyline, Rise, and other authoring tools.
- Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to determine content work packages.
- Develop content storyboards and scripts.
- Build interactive learning activities, quizzes and assessments that accurately test knowledge and understanding.
- Facilitate review cycles and incorporate feedback from SMEs and stakeholders.
- Apply adult learning principles and learning experience design best practices to maximize learner engagement and knowledge retention.
- Problem-solve and troubleshoot issues that arise in the designing phase.
- Resolve technical issues that arise.
- Ensure learning content meets accessibility standards and organizational branding guidelines.
- Publish and test modules to ensure functionality and accurate capturing of progress and results within the LMS.
- Measure learner engagement and effectiveness of e-learning programs through assessments, surveys, and learning analytics and make improvement recommendations for future releases.
- Manage multiple e-Learning development projects simultaneously, ensuring milestones, timelines and deliverables are met.
- Assist with the continual improvement of e-Learning modules through the iterative process of updating content, assessments, and activities.
- Act as reviewer of courses developed by others.
- Document processes and procedures for use in future projects.
- Monitor emerging learning technologies and recommend innovative approaches to enhance digital learning experiences.
- Design and develop e-Learning content to support new application rollouts.
- Engage stakeholders to align expectations and support successful implementation.
- Produce reasonable solutions to issues encountered during the rollout.
- Upload and manage course content in LMS.
- Assist with the implementation and administration of the LMS.
Requirements
- Degree in Adult Learning, Education or Technology with 3+ years of e-Learning design experience.
- Experience in the legal field considered an asset.
- Bilingual in French and English required.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles, learning experience design, instructional design, and e-learning design.
- Able to grasp technical subjects and learn new technologies quickly.
- Knowledge of SCORM/AICC/Tin Can standards, as well as e-Learning accessibility standards.
