About the Role

The Senior Project Manager, Technology Infrastructure Construction Delivery is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and successful delivery of technology infrastructure components within construction, renovation, relocation, and workplace transformation initiatives. This role serves as the primary liaison between Technology Infrastructure, Real Estate & Workplace Services (REWS), business stakeholders, vendors, architects, contractors, and technology service teams to ensure technology requirements are integrated into all phases of the construction lifecycle. The Senior Project Manager provides leadership across complex, multi-disciplinary initiatives involving network infrastructure, audiovisual systems, workplace technologies, security systems, end-user services, telecommunications, data center requirements, and technology-enabled workplace solutions. The role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives, technology standards, and enterprise governance practices.

Responsibilities

  • Actively manage project and program deliverables and activities, including facilitating scope development, managing and ensuring alignment to the project plan, building the business case, managing risks and issues, and resolving conflicting priorities with stakeholders.
  • Chair committees, including the project execution team, within the project/program governance structure.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to plan business priorities, develop resource and capacity plans, and secure resource commitments for completion of deliverables.
  • Build business case(s), manage large project and program budgets, manage expenditures, and report on program status.
  • Support and motivate project team members delivering on initiatives, ensuring alignment between business and team goals.
  • Ensure successful delivery of key deliverables and milestones, taking corrective action as required.
  • Work with executive and senior management to plan business priorities within the year as well as for forward year(s) planning.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-company stakeholders to understand needs and anticipate other initiatives that may impact or provide synergies with the program/project.
  • Partner with change management practitioners.

Requirements

  • Minimum seven years of experience in Senior Project Management (multi-million dollar projects with multiple workstreams) or Program Management using agile and hybrid methodologies.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience within the insurance and financial services preferred.
  • A post-secondary degree in Technology/Business or a related discipline.
  • A track record for successful project and program execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusting relationships.
  • Ability to collaborate and extract unstated needs and requirements.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to foster an inclusive, productive team environment with several disparate teams being involved.
  • Knowledge of, and practical experience in, change management.
  • Ability to switch between initiatives and understand impacts is a key role in ensuring work progresses at pace in, what at times can be, an unstructured environment.
  • Detail-oriented work that requires frequent mental concentration for extended periods of time.
  • Subject to a Background check as a condition of employment.
