About the Role

We are seeking a bold, entrepreneurial commercial leader to drive the strategy, growth, and execution of our partnership ecosystem across both Butterfly Garden (our AI Marketplace) and Butterfly Embedded (Powered by Butterfly), our Ultrasound-on-Chip™ semiconductor platform. As Senior Director, Strategic Partnerships, you will be responsible for sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and closing high-impact partnerships—including complex semiconductor, chip licensing, SDK, AI, and technology integration deals that fuel the growth of both platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end partnership and business development motion across Butterfly Garden and Embedded, from market mapping and prospecting through deal close and expansion.
  • Identify, prioritize, and pursue high-impact growth opportunities that drive platform adoption, revenue, and long-term strategic value.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of semiconductor, AI, SDK, platform, and enterprise partnerships, including renewals and expansion pathways.
  • Develop clear value propositions, partnership narratives, and business cases tailored to executive, technical, and clinical stakeholders.
  • Drive go-to-market strategies with partners to accelerate adoption and commercial success.
  • Lead the structuring and negotiation of semiconductor, chip licensing, technology integration, and supply-chain–related partnerships central to the Ultrasound-on-Chip™ platform.
  • Execute complex, multi-year agreements with OEMs, component manufacturers, and strategic technology partners.
  • Develop pricing, commercialization models, and deal frameworks that reflect both technical complexity and long-term economic value.
  • Work closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to translate technical requirements into executable commercial agreements.
  • Define and execute an ecosystem strategy spanning semiconductor partners, AI developers, SDK collaborators, research institutions, and enterprise healthcare customers.
  • Build a diversified partner portfolio that expands platform capabilities and strengthens competitive differentiation.
  • Lead partnership governance, success planning, and long-term roadmap alignment.
  • Drive revenue through high-value partnerships across semiconductor, AI, platform, and enterprise channels.
  • Establish success metrics and commercial goals for partnerships, ensuring accountability and measurable impact.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to position partnered solutions as core growth drivers.
  • Serve as the primary executive-level point of contact for key partners.
  • Understand partner priorities, technical constraints, and commercial objectives to influence internal decision-making.
  • Secure C-suite alignment internally and externally on partnership goals, commitments, and trade-offs.
  • Act as the connective tissue between product, engineering, clinical, commercial, and marketing teams to ensure partnership success.
  • Advocate for internal prioritization, resources, and sequencing required to meet partnership commitments.
  • Ensure seamless transitions from early engagement through implementation, validation, compliance, and scaling.
  • Maintain a structured, data-driven system for tracking partner stages, next steps, dependencies, and risks.
  • Anticipate partner and operational needs; proactively surface issues and propose solutions.
  • Manage multiple complex, high-touch partnerships simultaneously with clarity, rigor, and accountability.

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or technology commercialization.
  • Direct experience crafting, negotiating, and closing semiconductor, chip, or advanced hardware technology deals is required.
  • Proven success leading high-value B2B partnerships with Fortune 500, OEM, or enterprise technology customers from prospect through implementation.
  • Strong commercial and financial fluency with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear commercial outcomes.
  • Ability to engage and influence executive, technical, and clinical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly structured, analytical, and process-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives concurrently.
  • Comfort operating in fast-moving, high-growth environments.
  • Experience in AI-driven healthcare, medical devices, or regulated technology sectors.
  • Familiarity with regulatory pathways (e.g., FDA) for medical devices or AI-enabled solutions.
  • Experience in high-growth or early-stage companies.
  • MBA or management consulting experience is a plus.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Butterfly Network will not provide immigration sponsorship of any kind for this position.
