About the Role
The Automotive Parts Accounts Payable Specialist ensures financial accuracy by processing, verifying, and reconciling high-volume parts invoices. This role manages vendor accounts, tracks manufacturer rebates, processes core returns, and collaborates with the warehouses to keep inventory accounts perfectly balanced.
Responsibilities
- Match parts invoices against purchase orders.
- Manage credit memos and process manufacturer documentation for core returns and defective parts.
- Monthly reconciliation of vendor statements against and AP general ledger.
- Resolve pricing or quantity variances directly with vendors, purchasing team, and the warehouse team.
- Maintain positive relations with parts distributors and ensure timely communication so payments are not delayed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills for data matching and ledger variance analysis.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
