About the Role

As a Practice Area Senior Manager within BCG’s Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) Practice, you will own, structure, and drive the management of the regional PA agenda, with a particular emphasis on our commercial engine and our people. You will oversee the commercial rhythm of the region, including account management, pipeline development, and commercial excellence, while playing a central role in the health, engagement, and growth of our people base. You will serve as a trusted thought partner to the RPAL and leadership team, ensuring all activities across Europe, Middle East, South America, and Africa run with clarity and momentum.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the RPAL and leadership team to develop and implement the strategic regional plan
  • Support the RPAL in refining and implementing the regional operating and governance model
  • Shape and drive execution of the strategic plan, partnering with the EMESA RPAL and leadership team on priorities and initiatives
  • Serve as a genuine stand-in for the RPAL or GPMSD on operational coverage
  • Oversee the commercial rhythm of the region — account management, pipeline development, and commercial excellence
  • Track and synthesize commercial performance data — using AI-assisted tools where relevant — to generate sharper business insights for the leadership team
  • Support business development discussions with the RPAL and sector leadership
  • Play a key role connecting commercial plans and execution into our People strategy and delivery
  • Partner with the Global People Leader to drive the TMT People agenda, including the size and health of our People base
  • Lead the engagement strategy for our critical Expert base
  • Drive regional people activities — including affiliation, optimal deployment of CT/ECT talent, and pipelining — using data and AI-powered tools to track cohort health and surface insights proactively
  • Lead region-specific people initiatives including DE&I agenda and PDPC process
  • Automate and simplify recurring operational processes — reporting cycles, briefing preparation, meeting rhythms — using GenAI tools to free capacity for higher-value work
  • Lead organization of key regional meetings and events
  • Produce content for regional leaders and the leadership team across practice forums and client showcases
  • Drive internal communications for the region, ensuring clarity and connectivity across a dispersed, multinational team

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred
  • Structured thinking with strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and project management skills; strong on conceptualization, follow-through, and accountability
  • Demonstrated business understanding with strong interest in TMT topics — experience in the space is a plus but not required
  • Ability to resolve complex and undefined problems autonomously, operating effectively in a matrix organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills and credibility; ability to influence and collaborate with senior Practice Area members and beyond
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluency in German is a plus
  • Strong data fluency and comfort working across analytical tools; proficiency in AI-powered platforms alongside Excel and PowerPoint
  • Comfort and curiosity with GenAI tools — with the ability to build simple custom workflows or skills where needed, and a drive to keep improving how the team works
  • Ability to respect client, BCG, and people information as personal and confidential
