About the Role
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) administers physical therapy modalities and rehabilitation treatments under the direction of a physical therapist. The PTA assists patients in restoring function, preventing disability, and reaching maximum performance levels within their capabilities. This role also involves participating in departmental operations, performance improvement activities, and team conferences.
Responsibilities
- Administer physical therapy modalities and rehabilitation treatments as directed by the physical therapist.
- Assist with restoration of patient functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability.
- Assist patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
- Participate in operational aspects of the department.
- Perform performance improvement activities.
- Attend team and/or family conferences as needed.
Requirements
- Holds current certificate as Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong written and verbal English skills.

- Basic knowledge of physical medicine
- Basic knowledge of physical therapy modalities
- Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Basic computer knowledge

Salary/Compensations
- $41.00 - $76.16 Hourly
