About the Role

Zoom Chat is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the core messaging experience, focusing on simplifying direct messages and channels for asynchronous work. This role involves partnering with Design, Engineering, and Data Science to integrate AI-powered features and shape daily workplace communication for millions.

Responsibilities

• Own the core messaging experience end-to-end, including strategy, requirements, design, delivery, and iteration.
• Define and drive the roadmap to enhance core chat interaction patterns based on user expectations and research findings.
• Collaborate with Design on interaction details, information structure, and visual polish, providing direct feedback on UI/UX.
• Identify and scope opportunities to embed AI-powered capabilities into core messaging workflows.
• Translate customer feedback, support issues, and research into clear product requirements and prioritized roadmap decisions.
• Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, and Research to scope, sequence, and deliver features on time.
• Communicate roadmap, tradeoffs, and progress to stakeholders across product, engineering, and go-to-market teams.
• Ensure a consistent and unified experience across desktop, mobile, and web clients.

Requirements

• 5 to 8 years of Product Management experience with end-to-end ownership of a product or major product surface.
• Direct experience shipping AI-powered product features, capable of explaining product decisions beyond underlying models.
• Extensive product and UI/UX sense, with the ability to collaborate closely with Design on interaction details.
• Experience in messaging, collaboration, or communication products.
• Proven track record of using competitor and user research to identify and close experience gaps.
• Comfortable with a flexible schedule for global team collaboration, including early morning or evening meetings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to articulate tradeoffs to both engineering and executive audiences.
• Proficiency with standard PM tooling for roadmapping, specifications, and prioritization.
