About the Role
Manage the day-to-day field operations of residential construction projects from demolition through final completion, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to BuildForm's quality standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong construction knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate subcontractors, vendors, clients, and the office team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily construction activities on multiple residential projects.
- Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to maintain project schedules.
- Ensure all work meets BuildForm's quality standards.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
- Verify work is completed according to plans and specifications.
- Work closely with the Project Manager, Project Coordinator, Interior Designer, and clients.
- Review drawings and identify potential construction issues before work begins.
- Coordinate inspections and ensure code compliance.
- Manage material deliveries and verify accuracy.
- Resolve field issues quickly and communicate solutions.
- Perform daily quality inspections.
- Ensure all finishes meet company standards.
- Identify deficiencies and coordinate corrections.
- Complete punch lists before project turnover.
- Maintain and update construction schedules.
- Coordinate subcontractor sequencing.
- Minimize project delays through proactive planning.
- Track project milestones and report progress.
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for homeowners.
- Provide project updates and answer client questions.
- Maintain a professional and courteous job-site experience.
- Help create a positive customer experience throughout construction.
- Enforce OSHA and company safety standards.
- Conduct routine job-site safety inspections.
- Ensure all subcontractors follow safety protocols.
- Report incidents promptly and accurately.
- Maintain daily job logs.
- Take progress photos.
- Track change orders and field modifications.
- Document inspections and project milestones.
- Submit weekly progress reports to management.
Requirements
- 5+ years of residential construction experience.
- 2+ years supervising remodeling or custom home projects.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods.
- Ability to read architectural and construction drawings.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- Experience in a design-build company.
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- First Aid / CPR Certification.
- Experience with scheduling software such as Buildertrend, CoConstruct, or Procore.
- Knowledge of local building codes and permitting.
- Leads by example and earns the respect of trades and homeowners.

- Preferred experience with JobTread (preferred) or similar.
- AutoCAD (review level).
- Google Workspace (docs, sheets, drive, etc).
- ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity (and similar).
- Adobe Acrobat.
