About the Role

UJA Federation of Greater Toronto is seeking an Associate Director, Donor & Impact Communications to lead the planning, writing, and editorial direction of donor-facing impact communications. This role develops communications that help donors understand UJA's funding, accomplishments, supported individuals, and the importance of the work. The Associate Director will lead content development for monthly impact communications, annual and impact reporting, transformational campaign materials, stewardship narratives, donor stories, program summaries, and approved donor-impact language used across the organization. This is a senior, hands-on content role requiring strong writing, sound editorial judgment, comfort with complex information, and the ability to translate program activity, campaign priorities, and impact data into clear donor-facing communications. The Associate Director will manage and provide editorial direction to senior writers supporting donor, stewardship, and proposal-related communications.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and contribute approved donor-impact language for use across fundraising, communications, marketing, leadership, and stewardship.
  • Manage, assign, review, edit, and support the work of senior writers producing donor, stewardship, and proposal-related communications.
  • Provide clear editorial feedback so writers understand the purpose, audience, tone, structure, and quality standard for the work.
  • Work with designers and creative partners to ensure reports, presentations, donor-facing materials, web content, and digital products are accurate, well structured, and visually strong.

Requirements
