About the Role

The Hamlin School is seeking experienced and enthusiastic music instructors for its afterschool Music Academy, which serves over 100 students in grades 1–8. Instructors will provide private, on-campus music lessons for elementary and middle school students, nurturing their musical growth, self-confidence, and creativity in a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide private, on-campus music lessons for elementary and middle school students.
• Foster a supportive learning environment that emphasizes joy, discipline, and a lifelong appreciation for music.

Requirements

• Prior experience with private music instruction for elementary and middle school students.
• Ability to build rapport with individual students.
• Strong punctuality, time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Clear the Department of Justice background screening (Livescan).
• Authorized to work in the United States (I-9).
• Provide health (TB) clearance (update every 4 years).
