About the Role
As Associate Director, Communications Design, you will orchestrate the Communications Plan, translating ideas into detailed communication architectures and connected plans for market launch. You will curate details to create powerful brand experiences, aligned with strategy and cultural insights, leveraging your knowledge of dynamic communication landscapes. You will manage the delivery of next-generation plans, collaborating with specialty business units and creative partners to design tactics, identify high-value audiences with strategic experts, guide communication goals with analytics, and vet channels with partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development of the detailed communications plan to power the idea.
- Present the Connections Design holistic approach to stakeholders in conjunction with the Director, Communications Design.
- Manage day-to-day client requirements and workflow related to Communications Design.
- Present client education programs on Communications Design and relevant marketplace trends.
- Oversee the management and training of the design team in communications planning fundamentals.
- Spearhead best practice application of planning approach, including key tools and techniques, to surface media and marketing intelligence and insights for impactful, culturally rich communications plans across owned, earned, shared, and paid (OESP) media.
- Write and manage outputs from RFP submissions for the Design discipline in collaboration with Partnerships leads.
- Contribute to client Key Performance Indicator (KPI) delivery, Specialty Business Unit (SBU) growth, and client profitability.
- Contribute to new business efforts as required.
Requirements
- Experience in an integrated planning role in media, publisher/vendor, or communications discipline (digital, content).
- Ability to delegate and oversee direct reports.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors.
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Required PC proficiency and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
