About the Role

The Learning Experience of Astoria is seeking a passionate, dependable, and energetic Lead Preschool Teacher to guide children ages 2 years and older. This role involves creating an exciting and supportive classroom environment that encourages learning and exploration, preparing children for future academic success while nurturing their social, emotional, and creative growth.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons that make learning exciting.
• Foster children's language, literacy, math, science, and social-emotional development.
• Create a structured, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Build meaningful relationships with children and their families.
• Lead and mentor your Assistant Teacher while working collaboratively as a team.
• Celebrate every milestone and encourage each child to reach their full potential.

Requirements

• Genuine passion for early childhood education.
• Brings creativity, enthusiasm, and fun into the classroom every day.
• Patient, nurturing, and able to build strong relationships with children and families.
• Organized and able to manage a busy classroom with confidence.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a licensed daycare or childcare center (REQUIRED).
• Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Excellent communication and classroom leadership skills.
• Ability to pass all required background checks and state compliance requirements.
