About the Role
The Project Manager plays a critical role in building organizational capability by serving as the primary liaison between Operations, R&D Leadership, and Talent Acquisition to ensure critical hiring initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to business priorities. This role uses visual management, project discipline, and cross-functional collaboration to create transparency, remove barriers, and accelerate hiring outcomes. The role also supports strategic site expansion initiatives and partners closely with frontline leadership to strengthen onboarding, leader standard work, and immersion experiences.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the embedded project manager connecting Operations and R&D leaders on the critical Fairport expansion project.
- Build and maintain visual management systems that provide real-time visibility to hiring demand, candidate pipeline, risks, milestones, and outcomes.
- Lead weekly project reviews, identify bottlenecks, and drive countermeasures to ensure key positions are filled on schedule.
- Coordinate stakeholders across functions to improve decision-making speed and hiring effectiveness.
- Use data and metrics to prioritize work, solve problems, and improve hiring outcomes.
- Serve as an extended member of the site expansion team as Qualitrol grows its Fairport footprint.
- Coordinate project activities, action plans, stakeholder communications, and milestone tracking.
- Ensure people, facilities, operational readiness, and organizational impacts are clearly understood and managed.
- Support cross-functional execution to ensure expansion objectives are achieved safely, efficiently, and on plan.
- Partner with frontline leaders at the gemba to understand onboarding experiences, identify gaps, and implement improvements.
- Develop and sustain Leader Standard Work that creates consistency in how new employees are welcomed, trained, and integrated into the business.
- Ensure clear onboarding, training, and immersion plans are established for frontline leaders and direct labor employees.
- Create visual management tools that enable leaders to monitor onboarding progress and employee readiness.
- Collaborate with Operations, HR, and site leadership to continuously improve the new employee experience.
