About the Role
The Temporary Tiffany Workshop Setter will utilize advanced skills to set diamonds and colored stones in high jewelry, adhering to Tiffany & Co.'s aesthetic and quality standards. This role involves evaluating stone layouts, minimizing breakage, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities
- Set diamonds and colored stones using pave, cutdown, bright cut, fancy prong, bead, channel, and burnishing setting techniques.
- Collaborate with jewelers or CAD designers on stone placement and layouts for new products.
- Recommend setting techniques and technical solutions for production.
- Inspect mountings before and after setting.
- Record daily production results, verify work orders, reconcile stones used, and report discrepancies.
- Maintain compliance with company policies including safety, confidentiality, security, and attendance.
- Work safely by following established procedures and reporting incidents.
- Contribute to 5S improvements at the workstation and within the department.
Requirements
- Setting experience in all setting techniques, including evaluating space for pave or beadwork and providing stone layouts.
- Experience working with precious metals, diamonds, and colored stones.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients and staff.
- Proficient in organizational, interpersonal, and partnership skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities to support business needs.
- Experience performing and troubleshooting setting repairs.
- Flexibility to work overtime and/or modified schedules.
