About the Role
As Payroll Coordinator at LTE Care Plus, you’ll ensure our caregivers and clinical staff are paid accurately and on schedule so they can focus on delivering exceptional ABA therapy. You’ll own payroll operations end to end, strengthen compliance, and partner with HR and Finance to keep everything running smoothly in a fast-paced, mission-driven healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Run full-cycle, multi-state payroll using ADP (or similar), processing weekly/biweekly cycles with zero missed deadlines.
- Build and maintain advanced Excel models for payroll tracking, reconciliations, GL support, and reporting (lookups, pivots, macros, data validation).
- Perform precise data entry and account reconciliations across payroll, HRIS, and financial systems with strong version control and documentation.
- Post and review payroll journal entries (wages, taxes, benefits, PTO) and reconcile to the GL; support audits with clean, organized records.
- Manage payroll-related accounts payable/receivable and coordinate vendor payments tied to payroll and benefits.
- Analyze complex payroll data to quickly spot and resolve discrepancies; drive continuous improvements in accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain audit-ready employee records: hours, leave, tax forms, benefits enrollments, and HRIS data.
- Partner with HR on benefits administration (enrollments, changes, COBRA/leave updates) and compliance reporting.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience, including running large-scale payroll (200+ employees; multi-state/multi-location experience preferred).
- Tech-savvy operator: confident navigating multiple systems (ADP/HRIS/accounting platforms), learning new tools quickly, and using shortcuts, templates, and automation to work faster and cleaner.
- Solid grasp of accounting fundamentals: double-entry bookkeeping, debits/credits, journal entries, and GL reconciliation.
- High accuracy with data entry and 10-key; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of payroll tax rules, wage/hour compliance, and benefits administration basics.
- Professional discretion with confidential information; clear, proactive communication with HR, Finance, and managers.
- Non-profit experience is a plus (familiarity with grant-aligned reporting, fund accounting concepts, or 501(c)(3) environments).
- Healthcare or multi-site experience is a plus; bilingual (Spanish/Mandarin) skills are a plus.
