About the Role

Capital Cardiology Associates is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our cardiology team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical office setting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Set up cardiac procedures such as Cardiac Catheterizations, Device implants, Transesophageal echocardgiograms, etc.
  • Obtain prior authorizations for tests, procedures, and medications
  • Schedule patient appointments, follow-ups, and diagnostic testing
  • Communicate with patients regarding procedures, preparation, and follow-up instructions
  • Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system
  • Support physicians and other clinical staff as needed

Requirements

  • Current and valid New York State LPN License
  • Previous experience in a cardiology or other medical specialty preferred
  • Knowledge of insurance guidelines and prior authorization processes
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Professional, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
  • Proficiency in EMR systems and basic computer skills
