About the Role

The College of Early Childhood Educators is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Screening Clerk to sort and track incoming registration documentation, review it for completeness, and assist with correspondence and inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, review, and track all correspondence (fax, mail, emails) received by the Department.
  • Review correspondence for completeness prior to submission for further processing.
  • Track all correspondence received; organize correspondence and deliver it to the assigned employee.
  • Respond to inquiries and questions from members or applicants and resolve issues.
  • Ensure prompt follow-up on all outstanding/incomplete files to ensure timely resolution of matters.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Two or three-year college program.
  • 1 to 3 years’ experience performing similar duties.
  • Knowledge of the sector and College policies and processes related to registration.
  • Knowledge of office/administrative software (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Verbal communication and customer service skills to respond to inquiries and provide information in a clear and professional manner.
  • Written communication skills to respond to member/applicant inquiries.
  • Attention to detail to screen a high volume of documentation and navigate between several databases to find information.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to manage a high volume of application files and adhere to processing times and deadlines.
