About the Role

Oversee daily operations and maintenance of an ice skating rink, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment. This role involves expert Zamboni operation for ice quality, activity scheduling, staff supervision, and administrative duties like budgeting and vendor liaison. The goal is to maximize rink usage and customer satisfaction while maintaining efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the Zamboni ice resurfacing machine to ensure a smooth, safe, and high-quality ice surface.
• Manage daily rink operations including scheduling public skating sessions, hockey games, figure skating lessons, and special events.
• Supervise and train rink staff, including attendants and maintenance personnel, to uphold safety protocols and excellent customer service.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of rink equipment and facilities, coordinating repairs as needed.
• Handle administrative tasks such as budgeting, inventory control, vendor relations, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with all local health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Engage with the community and customers to promote rink programs, gather feedback, and enhance the user experience.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate a Zamboni or similar ice resurfacing equipment.
• Previous experience in rink operations, facility management, or a related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of ice maintenance.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage staff and coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
• Basic mechanical aptitude to perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers, staff, and vendors.
