About the Role

PRG is the world’s leading provider of services and solutions in entertainment and live events. The Automation Controls Integrator is instrumental in the prep, tuning, programming, training, set up, installation and supervision of PRG’s proprietary Stage Command Automation System. This role involves integrating, troubleshooting, and supporting custom-designed automated theatrical control systems both in-house and onsite at client venues.

Responsibilities

Prepare, tune, program, train, set up, install, and supervise PRG’s proprietary Stage Command Automation System.
Assist the Automation department in setting up systems.
Provide onsite leadership, supervision, training, troubleshooting, and programming of the SCS system for automation projects.
Participate in research and development of proprietary systems.
Provide show support for ongoing automation projects.
Integrate small and large platform theatrical control equipment in-house and in the theatre.
Safely operate and train personnel in the proper use of the Stage Command Systems (SCS).
Cue the movement of scenic elements via the SCS Operator Interface.
Act as the mechanical/automation representative on client sites.
Supervise production automation leads and local crews on safe standards, procedures, and practices for PRG’s Automated effects.
Work with the designated onsite Production Automation department to create schedules, safe working environments, proper set up, and procedures.
Establish clear communication procedures for proper setup, operation, and maintenance of automation equipment.
Assemble, label, and install electric wiring harnesses and control components into control cabinets and scenic sets.
Identify and acquire necessary materials from detailed design drawings.
Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical failures and control problems.

Requirements

Knowledge of setting up, testing, troubleshooting, installing, programming, and running Live Events Automated Control systems.
Ability to solder, crimp, and terminate electrical wires.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent presentation skills and ability to deliver technical training, including to non-technicians.
Knowledge of integrated data networking.
Physically capable of lifting and coiling cable as well as lifting and placing industrial control components.
Must be able to work overtime and weekends with limited notice.
Must be able to travel to both domestic and international venues.
