About the Role

This role supports customer relationships and coordinates the negotiation and execution of structured power transactions for development and operating projects. Key responsibilities include assisting with pricing and structuring of offtake arrangements, proposal drafting, market analysis, customer intelligence, and internal coordination across subject matter expert teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support power origination team in sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and closing long-term structured power purchase agreements and other revenue contracts.
  • Support negotiation and lead execution processes for initial customer contract initiatives, including memoranda of understanding, confidentiality agreements, and term sheets.
  • Support project marketing and proposal development.
  • Conduct research on new markets, understanding policy-driven customer demand factors, offtake products, and risks.
  • Integrate input from various internal functional areas into cohesive products for internal approval processes and negotiation responses.
  • Interface with customers, coordinate proposal timelines and responses, and manage general tracking and intake internally and with counterparties.
  • Liaise with SMEs during negotiations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Economics, or related discipline.
  • At least 2+ years of work experience.
  • Familiarity with offtake structures, utility-scale customers, and key offtake contract concepts related to utility-scale renewable power plants is preferred.
  • Ability to organize time well and set proper priorities.
  • Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and other applications.
  • Exposure to utility-scale, renewable energy development is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex structures succinctly to a wide audience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an environment requiring teamwork and an independent work ethic.
  • Ability to work well with several different functional teams (e.g., development, finance, operations, accounting, and insurance).
  • Ability to work well as a team member and a team leader.
  • Ability to take initiative to find answers and resources.
  • Driven, hard-working individual with high standards for self and others.
  • Solid understanding of economic, business, and transactional concepts.
