About the Role
2020 Companies, in partnership with Samsung Electronics America, is hiring an Area Sales Manager. This role involves leading and motivating a team of Field Managers to drive sales and training in local retail markets. The ideal candidate will possess strong business insights, a proven track record in retail sales execution and multi-unit management, and exceptional field leadership, remote team management, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Directs, manages, and inspires a localized team of Market Sales Managers as a senior field leader.
- Champions the entire employee lifecycle—from strategic hiring and onboarding to continuous side-by-side coaching, performance management, retention, and succession planning.
- Communicates Samsung’s area and regional strategic goals clearly, translating the broader brand vision into actionable daily efforts for the market teams.
- Analyzes local market sales data, store-level trends, and competitor activities to identify hyper-local growth opportunities and mitigate threats.
- Executes tailored tactical sales plans designed to meet and exceed assigned Samsung area sales targets, market share goals, and revenue benchmarks.
- Oversees the training execution and performance of Market Sales Managers and retail sales personnel, establishing clear store-level objectives and taking prompt corrective action when performance benchmarks are missed.
- Directs and optimizes localized merchandising activities to ensure flawless product visibility, compliance, and premium brand representation across all assigned retail locations.
- Drives strategic buy-in from Regional and District leadership to expand the brand’s footprint.
- Prepares comprehensive area health updates for Program Leadership, highlighting key performance indicators, field triumphs, and market insights.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7–10+ years of progressive leadership experience in retail sales, with at least 3–5 years specifically leading a multi-unit role.
- Demonstrated ability in building effective teams, managing multi-unit operations, and driving vision and purpose across fully remote direct reports.
- Solid business insights with the ability to interpret sales reports and data to translate them into actionable area action plans.
- Capable of working autonomously with exceptional time management skills and a strong reputation for ensuring accountability in store environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/field tracking software.
- Must be able to travel extensively across the assigned area/market and work flexible hours, including weekends as retail needs dictate.

Salary/Compensations
- $130,000 plus bonus paid quarterly
