About the Role
The Director will work closely with various departments to align training efforts with business goals, enhance employee performance, and support the organization's strategic objectives. This role will focus on driving global learning initiatives, ensuring consistent and effective training delivery, and fostering a culture of continuous development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a global training and education strategy that aligns with the organization’s business objectives and supports employee development across all levels.
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of innovative training programs, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across regions.
- Oversee the creation and continuous improvement of training curricula, materials, and resources that address the specific needs of different departments and regions.
- Ensure that all training content is up-to-date, relevant, and reflective of the latest industry standards and best practices.
- Manage the delivery of training programs, leveraging various methods such as in-person sessions, e-learning, webinars, and workshops.
- Collaborate with regional leaders and subject matter experts to ensure that training programs are culturally relevant and effectively implemented across global locations.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of training programs and their impact on employee performance and business outcomes.
- Analyze training data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions to enhance training initiatives.
- Lead and mentor a global team of training professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Provide coaching and support to ensure the professional growth and development of team members.
- Work closely with HR, Talent Management, and other key departments to align training and education efforts with broader organizational goals.
- Partner with leadership to identify training needs, develop solutions, and drive initiatives that support strategic priorities.
- Stay current with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in training and education.
- Introduce new methodologies and tools to enhance the learning experience and improve the effectiveness of training programs.
- Manage the global training budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to support training initiatives.
- Optimize the use of external vendors, tools, and technologies to deliver high-quality training within budget constraints.
- Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Requirements
- Four to ten years of industry experience marketing consumer goods.
- Executive experience in advertising/marketing preferred.
- Ability to teach, speak and train publicly to a live audience with the ability to adapt to different audience styles.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
- Must exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include near and far acuity, depth perception, accommodation, color vision and field of vision.
