About the Role
Manages security activities for all shifts, supervising sergeants and officers. Administers training programs and maintains physical security programs and operations to ensure a safe environment for employees and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Supervises sergeants and officers on daily activities.
- Completes assignments related to officer positions.
- Ensures posts are covered.
- Inspects all hospital and college buildings daily.
- Ensures staff get designated breaks.
- Ensures hospital or department policies and procedures are followed.
- Responds to situations involving security issues.
- Assists sergeants in the performance of their duties.
- Assists other employees when necessary.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 5+ years’ experience as a manager/supervisor
- 5+ years’ experience in security or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in Executive Production, Healthcare Investigations and Special Event Security
- Knowledge of Criminal Investigation and Penal & Civil Law
- Knowledge of Management Skills
- Knowledge of Computers
- Knowledge of Fire Safety
- Knowledge of Management and Training Skills
- Must live within a commutable distance to NYP.
Skills
- MOAB Instructor Certified
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP) by the American Society for Industrial Security Organization (ASIS)
- Professional Law Enforcement background as a senior management level
- NYS Mandated Security Officer Training
- Bilingual in Spanish/English
