About the Role
This role supports S&P DJI Index Committees, which are oversight and decision-making bodies operating in a fast-paced environment. The Analyst will work closely with the Index Committee Management team, supporting initiatives and ensuring smooth operation of committee processes. This is a contract role with potential for full-time conversion.
Responsibilities
- Support Index Committee chairpersons with meeting preparation, documentation, and record-keeping.
- Facilitate Index Committee processes including quarterly rebalancing, annual methodology reviews, index launches, and methodology change implementations.
- Drive operational excellence by identifying and implementing process improvements using technology, including AI tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of committee-related deliverables.
- Lead and manage Index Governance initiatives, ensuring adherence to project goals and timelines.
- Assist in the administration and implementation of Index Governance policies and procedures for Index Committees.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to ensure understanding and alignment with Index Governance procedures.
- Analyze Index Committee performance metrics and trends using dashboards to provide actionable insights.
- Maintain detailed audit trails and documentation to support regulatory compliance and internal governance requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2-4 years of professional experience related to financial markets, financial benchmarks, or index methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex information clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in data analysis.
- Detail-oriented approach with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing multiple workstreams with ability to anticipate needs and manage deliverables independently.
- Proven ability to apply sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in meeting management tools and collaboration platforms.
- Experience with committee support, governance, or coordination roles within financial services (preferred).
- Experience in managing process and system improvement initiatives (preferred).
- Knowledge of benchmark regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements related to index management and investment committees (preferred).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Co-pilot and other Generative Artificial Intelligence applications (preferred).
